Canada just had an incredible National Day of Prayer! From our NHOP School of Prayer and Billy Graham's School of Evangelism to a solemn assembly with national leaders on Parliament Hill, to a huge closing gathering combined with March for Jesus; it was a special time. The ripple effect was amazing too. Communities like Victoria BC, Sundridge Ontario, and Qualicum Beach BC held their own local prayer gatherings, with Qualicum Beach's mayor calling the city to prayer. Some places are already planning to keep meeting regularly to pray for the nation. Isaiah 56:7 says, My house will be a house of prayer for all nations. Wherever you are, you are invited to be part of building that house of prayer, right where you live. Our encouragement to you is, "Seize the Day!"
"these I will bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer; their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house shall be called a house of prayer
for all peoples.”
Isaiah 56:7

NHOP Prayer Meetings
Our regular prayer meetings will pause over the summer months, but we encourage everyone to continue seeking God in prayer individually and with others. We will resume our prayer gatherings on August 18 and 19, and look forward to praying together again.
Weekly Prayer Points
Pray that God would continue to raise up prayer movements in cities and towns across Canada.
Pray for unity among churches, that they would come together across denominations to seek God for their communities.
Pray for a spirit of repentance to spread across the nation, bringing healing and restoration.
Pray that local governments and leaders would continue to welcome and support gatherings of prayer, as seen in Qualicum Beach.
Pray regarding the devastating wildfires in Northern Ontario. Premier Ford has asked the federal government for additional assistance as 15 communities prepare for possible evacuations. Pray for protection over residents, first responders, firefighters, and all those working tirelessly to contain the fires. Ask God for favourable weather conditions, strength for emergency personnel, and help for those who have been displaced.
Pray for peace throughout the Middle East and for a swift end to the conflict involving Iran. Pray for the innocent Iranian civilians caught in the crossfire that God would protect them and provide for their needs. Pray that Iran would one day be a nation governed by freedom and justice. Pray that the gospel would continue to spread rapidly and be glorified, and that Christian leaders would have wisdom, courage, and grace as they disciple the many who are coming to faith in Christ.
Pray for the many Vacation Bible Schools and children's camps taking place this summer as they share the gospel with the next generation. Ask that the Word of God would take deep root in the hearts of every child who attends, including our neighbours' children and grandchildren. Pray for the volunteers and leaders to faithfully nurture and disciple these young lives, helping them grow into mature followers of Christ.
Pray for our Members of Parliament as they spend time in their constituencies during the summer. Pray for divine encounters with those who know and love Jesus.
Pray for Canada's relationships with both the United States and Israel. Pray that God would give wisdom to government leaders of each country so they will each be able to foster cooperation and peace with each other.
Continue to pray for the Jewish community as they face increasing antisemitism. Pray for protection and peace. Pray that every plan motivated by hatred would be exposed and thwarted.
