We thank you for your continued support for the ministry here at NHOP; together we are making a difference in our nation.
We have an opportunity to impact Canada in an even greater way through radio broadcasting. Over the past five years I been doing a one-minute radio broadcast in Manitoba, made possible through the generous support of some local businesses there. This broadcast has proven to be very fruitful for Nhop and is often seen as the reason for many teams coming to stay with us from that listening area. When Fran and I travel in Manitoba we frequently hear people say, “I hear your voice on the radio.”
Our longest serving Prayer Missionary, Sue Huston writes regarding this:
Around 2013, I felt impressed to begin to intercede for this one minute broadcast to become a reality not only in Manitoba, but across Canada. So for the past several years I have been carrying this in prayer, waiting upon the Lord for His timing.
At the beginning of this year, the desire to see this happen became even stronger and I shared my story with a friend, who also witnessed this was of the Lord and felt that we really needed to target this in prayer. The very next day I received an email from a lady who had previously communicated with us and is involved with radio! She wanted to know if Rob was doing a special broadcast for the 150th Anniversary of our Nation.
I took this as confirmation from the Lord that the timing of this was now. After bringing this to the NHOP team to pray over, we sent out emails to various Christian radio broadcasters across the nation. You can find a link to two of Rob’s one-minute broadcasts below. Within a matter of hours, we received 3 responses, all wanting this broadcast as part of their weekly programming.
One of the broadcasters began their email with – “Susan, Superb quality teaching”.
Here is where we need some help. We are inviting you to be part of these one-minute broadcasts going out across Canada by praying that God will powerfully use these broadcasts. Secondly, we need your financial support. The costs will vary depending on the province and the radio station. There is strong possibility of three stations that would be willing to broadcast for free. Other stations have quoted $500 per month and another for $520 per month. This would allow us to reach many communities across Canada including Iqaluit in the North.
At a time of increasing turmoil globally, “the words of the godly are a life-giving fountain; the words of the wicked conceal violent intentions” (Proverbs 10: 11). I look forward to hearing from each of you as you take this before the Lord.
