He Must Increase

As John the Baptist demonstrated, the motivation of He Must Increase is not about elevating our position or our favour with man. Nor is it about a supernatural increase in our bank accounts; having divine health; or obtaining more possessions. Rather, He Must Increase is about God growing in us; overhauling our desires to become more “fully in” to His agenda for our lives. It’s about God’s passions becoming ours; a self-centric Christianity replaced by a selfless and deep desire for others. This growth in Him is also evidenced by a greater desire for holiness, an intensifying prayer-life, and a growing burden for those who are lost and in need of salvation.

He Must Increase is not a burden, but a tremendous and fulfilling joy as we participate with the King of Glory!

Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. ( Jude 1:24,25)
